Agreement enhances customer experience through 'one touch' approach for multinationals operating in Switzerland

BERN, Switzerland -- Verizon Business and Swisscom have today announced a new alliance that enhances global sales, service and support capabilities for Swiss multinational customers and customers with operations in the Swiss market. Swisscom and Verizon Business will! utilize this preferred partnership for network and ICT services and solutions to deliver a globally consistent experience to their customers.

Swisscom is an acknowledged leader in the delivery of enterprise communication services within the Swiss market, while Verizon Business is recognised as an expert in the delivery of global IP-based enterprise communications. Additionally, both companies deliver security and information technology (IT) and outsourcing solutions.

By aligning the two companies' relative strengths, Swisscom customers with multinational operations will gain seamless access to Verizon Business' expansive global network and solutions; Verizon Business customers with operations in the Swiss market will likewise be able to benefit from Swisscom's extensive local market expertise and dense infrastructure and customer service organization. Customers who are served by both companies will benefit from an enhanced customer experience, with a streamlined service offering around the globe including integrated networks, convergent services, seamless processes and comprehensive customer services.

The alliance will allow for the establishment of a specialist team drawn from both companies which will focus on fulfilling the needs of joint Swisscom and Verizon Business multinational customers. The new team will offer customers a single point of touch to fulfill both their local and global communications requirements.
