Picometrix Boasts 100G Win in China

Will supply CR-100D receiver for provider's 100G optical transport network equipment.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Picometrix, LLC, an Advanced Photonix company (NYSE MKT: API), announced today that it has been chosen by a leading China provider of telecommunications equipment and networks solutions to supply the CR-100D for their 100G optical transport network equipment. Initial orders total close to $500K with potential revenue of over $2M for the next fiscal year.

The 100G markets are in the early adoption phase, and are expected to grow rapidly over the next five years to become the dominant modulation format deployed in the long haul and metro markets in order to support the wireless and wire-line bandwidth demands of high definition video and audio."
