Orascom Drops Raya Offer

Orascom Telecom announces it will not submit a further bid for Egyptian firm Raya Holding Technology and Telecommunications

CAIRO, Egypt -- Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. (“OTH”)announced today its decision not to submit an offer above LE 12 for all theissued share capital of Raya Holding Technology and Telecommunications, anEgyptian joint stock company, traded on the Cairo & Alexandria StockExchange under the symbol "RAYA.CA". OTH will not renew the offer afterAugust 21st.
