Bookham signed a co-operation agreement with EM4 and its wholly owned subsidiary EM4 Defense

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Bookham, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKHM) today signed a co-operation agreement with EM4, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary EM4 Defense. Under this agreement, EM4 will be the primary market channel for the Bookham High Power Pump laser business into the US defense, aerospace and homeland security market.

This co-operation between Bookham, a global supplier of electro-optical components, and EM4, a leading provider of customized packaging solutions and products, will provide a cutting-edge platform that can be continuously optimized for tomorrow’s customer requirements in the defense, aerospace and homeland security market. The combination of the companies’ technologies will enable high-quality products that can be tailored to meet customer requirements.
