Oplink Offers Raman Components

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Oplink Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPLK), designer and manufacturer of innovative optical components and integrated modules, announced today its suite of passive components and optical modules for Raman amplifier systems. Specifically, Oplink has developed an array of isolators, polarization maintaining beam combiners, wavelength division multiplexing pump combiners, fused-fiber pump combiners, wavelength division multiplexing signal/pump combiners, and hybrid combinations of these components. All of the components are available for order immediately. The Raman suite is designed to meet cost and performance requirements for the practical deployment of Raman amplifiers in long-haul transmission applications.
