New Edge Networks appoints Mark Nicklas to the new position of vice president of sales for vertical markets

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- New Edge Networks, a national provider of multi-site managed networks and Internet access for business and carrier customers, today announced the appointment of Mark Nicklas to the newly created position of vice president of sales for vertical markets.

Nicklas will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategy targeting industry segments that are most likely to benefit from wide area networks using a variety of broadband technologies. Nicklas is based in Vancouver, Wash. He reports to Dan Moffat, president and CEO of New Edge Networks.

"Mark's appointment is part of a broader New Edge Networks push to accelerate sales and revenue growth through all channels," Moffat said. "With our ability to provide some form of broadband access at virtually any business address in the United States, we are well positioned to capitalize on needs of our enterprise and carrier customers."

Prior to joining New Edge Networks, Nicklas held business and sales development positions with both large and start-up communications companies, including Tyco Telecommunications, Integra Telecom, Citizens Communications, MCI, and AT&T.

"Mark has broad telecom knowledge, solid sales experience, and he knows how to strategically integrate products into smart customers solutions," Moffat said. "We look forward to his contributions for helping New Edge Networks achieve its sales and revenue goals for vertical markets."
