Stratacache's OmniCast content distribution software integrated with the Amino family of set-top boxes for corporate IPTV distribution
October 24, 2006
DAYTON, Ohio -- Stratacache today announced that it has integrated its OmniCast content distribution software on the Amino family of set-top boxes (STBs), enabling the use of market-leading Amino devices as distribution points for corporate video in branch locations. With OmniCast integrated on Amino STBs, enterprises, banks, and retailers have a simple, plug-and-play solution for enabling live or on-demand corporate video access from branch locations. The solution powers applications such as distributed e-learning, corporate communication, and associate training.
Amino is an emerging leader in set-top boxes used by service providers. Enterprises that use OmniCast for distributing content from the corporate data center can now use Amino STBs as effective branch video access or storage unit. As simple auto-configuring devices, Amino STBs can easily connect to existing in-store display devices or branch office televisions and do not require a complex installation process. Users can simply power up the unit and be ready to go.
“OmniCast extends our enterprise appeal to retailers, banks, and other enterprises that need to bring video to hundreds or thousands of branches,” said Roy Kirsopp, VP & General Manager of Amino Communications. “With OmniCast built in, Amino STBs become simple, plug-and-play devices that bring low-cost video to any business location.”
