RICHARDSON, Texas, -- Mavenir Systems, a leading innovator of mobile infrastructure solutions for LTE operators, today announced that its mOne™ Convergence Platform was used to support the world's first commercially available Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service, which was announced by MetroPCS earlier this week.

Following MetroPCS' announcement to pursue VoLTE, Mavenir Systems worked hand in hand with the carrier to help make VoLTE a reality. A key part of the rapid rollout was Mavenir's innovative mOne™ Convergence Platform, which minimized the cost, complexity and time to market for MetroPCS' VoLTE services.

"We are excited to be part of this historic moment by providing a superior solution to MetroPCS that enables a sustainable business model on mobile broadband, both as a vendor partner and systems integrator," said Pardeep Kohli, president & chief executive officer of Mavenir Systems. "The mOne™ Convergence Platform is designed to simplify carriers' network transformations to support LTE and rapidly roll out VoLTE services."
