Bob Cantarutti joins Mintera as senior vice president of sales and marketing

LOWELL, Mass. -- Mintera Corporation, the leader in 40G optical transport solutions, today announced that Bob Cantarutti has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing to lead the customer operations of the firm.

“Now that Mintera has completed development of its first 40G platform, it’s time to build the team to bring this product successfully to market,” said Dr. Terry Unter, President and CEO. “We are excited to have someone of Bob’s capability and experience take charge of Mintera’s sales and marketing strategy,” he added.

Bob brings more than 25 years of experience creating effective sales initiatives and building strategic relationships with leading technology customers. For the past few years Bob has provided senior executive leadership to a number of communications start up firms providing market/business assessment, development of valid strategies and business plans, and building focused teams to execute on implementation plans.

Previously Bob was Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Field Operations at Cinta Networks, where he developed a marketing and sales strategy that quickly positioned Cinta as a leader in the next generation optical networking systems market.

As Vice President of Optical Networks and Access at Nortel Networks in the late 90’s, he built a significant sales, marketing and engineering force, achieving sales of more than $3B by the year 2000. Prior to this assignment, Bob was Vice President, Global Accounts in Nortel’s Enterprise Solutions organization with responsibility for providing strategic direction and delivering triple digit revenue growth rates.
