Lucent Wins Deal

MURRAY HILL, N.J. -- Lucent Technologies announced today that Lockheed Martin has selected Lucent's VitalQIP(R) DNS/DHCP (Domain Name Server/Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) and IP Management software for use in its infrastructure upgrade for U.S. Department of Housing of Urban Development (HUD).

The software was provided by PVA, Inc., a woman-owned small business located in McLeansville, N.C., and an accredited Lucent Business Partner. The Lucent VitalQIP(R) network management software automates and administers Internet Protocol (IP) services over a combination UNIX(TM) and Microsoft(R) Windows(R) network environment.

HUD's mission is to increase homeownership, support community development and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination. Lockheed Martin and Electronic Data Systems provide IT services to HUD under two HITS contracts that the companies received in 2005.
