LightConnect Names President/CEO

NEWARK, Calif. -- LIGHTCONNECT, Inc, a developer ofinnovative, MEMS-based, dynamic fiber optic components for next generation,dynamically configurable optical networks, has named respected industryveteran Dr. Peter O. Clark as its President and Chief Executive Officer.The announcement was made today by Dr. Asif Godil, Chairman of the Board,Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of the company.In this position, Dr. Clark will oversee worldwide business operations,including strategic development, finance, operations, engineering,technology, sales and marketing for LIGHTCONNECT. Dr. Asif Godil served as President and CEO of LIGHTCONNECT from the time heand Dr. David Bloom founded the company in early 1999. He is now taking onthe position of Chairman of the Board and Chief Technology Officer.
