Iskratel in DSLAM Interop Test

Iskratel particicpates in the 4th DSL Plugtest Event in Lannion, France

KRANJ, Slovenia -- Iskratel, a Slovenian telecommunications equipment vendor, has actively participated in the 4th DSL Plugtest Event in Lannion, France last month. Iskratel proved its place among advanced world developers of broadband access network solutions, being successful in DSL interoperability and triple-play support testing. Iskratel showed the ability to provide its customers highly ranked products and services.

The event was organized by the ETSI Plugtests Service and sponsored by the European Union under the eEurope initiative, France Telecom and with active support from region Lannion-Treìgor. Iskratel was one of 38 DSLAM, CPE and Test tool vendor companies that joined interoperability testing in the two fields of emerging access technologies, DSL Physical Interoperability and triple-play support. Iskratel test setup consisted of SI2000 MSAN (Multi-service Access Node) Broadband Access and SI2000 DSL CPE product portfolios.

Iskratel was able to test its latest major developments in the field of xDSL-based triple-play services and achieved its goal to prove the company’s competitive position among DSL broadband access providers.

In the DSL field of interoperability testing Iskratel demonstrated to be one of the most competitive providers. The ADSL2+ annex A testing in particular showed high stability, interoperability and function support for CPE as well as for CO. Iskratel also proved to hold an exceptional position as regards additional functions like power management, SELT/DELT and SRA.

Also ADSL2+ annex B interoperability testing showed that Iskratel, compared to other vendors, ranks very high in its developments.

Testing proved Iskratel CPE equipment to be highly interoperable with other DSLAM vendors, enabling the provision of efficient triple-play services.
