Intune Technologies, a leading developer of tunable laser control solutions is to participate at the ECOC exhibition to be held shortly in Amsterdam. Intune will be displaying its full range of hardware and software products for the calibration and control of tunable lasers at stand 1004. Earlier this year, Intune announced that it had reduced tunable laser calibration time down to minutes which makes this system the fastest in the world. The company plans to announce another major technology breakthrough during ECOC.

At the exhibition, Intune will display the INT1100 control card which is capable of switching between DWDM channels in a single microsecond. The INT1100 can be tailored to work with any of the electronically tunable laser devices commercially available such as the DBR and SGDBR lasers. The card may also be used to control temperature tuned devices. The INT1100 can be used as a subcomponent in network transmission systems, in add-drop multiplexors for DWDM metro networks and as part of switching fabric. The INT1100 contains an on-board wavelength locker for stabilisation after switching.
