During this Open Day, the MulteFire Alliance introduced the forthcoming MulteFire Release 1.1. Previous MulteFire Release 1.0 had focused mainly on broadband applications of LTE technology on unlicensed spectrum, while Release 1.1 will extend MulteFire to the use of narrowband IoT technology. This provides enterprises with reliable, flexible, stable, safe and efficient wireless connectivity services.
With the continuous evolution of technology standards, Huawei eLTE product and solution is leading the global commercial deployment of wireless private networks in various industries. Said Tatesh, a board member of the MulteFire Alliance and an expert from Huawei's European Standards Division, shared in his keynote speech the latest global business practices of eLTE, industrial wireless solution based on the MulteFire standard.
eLTE is an industrial wireless solution which is based on Huawei's leading wireless solution and oriented towards 5G evolution. With the digital acceleration in various industries, connections between people, objects and systems are of crucial importance. Based on this goal, eLTE can achieve ubiquitous connectivity through a network to carry voice and video. It breaks the deployment bottleneck of wireless networks through a comprehensive utilization of licensed and unlicensed spectrum, and provides industrial users with high-performance and easy-to-deploy features. This successful practice is a great exploration of MulteFire's standard technology in industrial production networks. In addition to automated ports, Huawei eLTE has also been successfully put into commercial use in many industries, including unmanned railway transportation, unattended AGV control, and broadband and narrowband industry interconnection.
