Fujitsu announces that it has partnered with Terawave Communications

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. -- Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Ltd (FTEL), the leading supplier of high performance telecommunications solutions, announces that it has partnered with Terawave Communications Inc., to integrate Terawave's GPON technology into Fujitsu's GeoStream Access Gateway MSAN platform and network management solutions for the European Market. The partnership reflects Fujitsu's strength in the access domain, combined with Terawave's world-class technology and experience in passive optical networking (PON).

Andy Stevenson, CEO of Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe, commented:

The agreement encompasses Terawave's GPON optical line terminals (OLTs), as well as residential, multi-tenant and business optical network terminals (ONTs), and future products. Terawave's technology will be integrated into Fujitsu's Network Management System, FENS AN, enabling FTEL to offer fully managed solutions.
