AIS Thailand has deployed AsiaInfo's Veris Billing platform to enable self-service account management for customers.

BEIJING -- Advanced Info Services Plc. (AIS), the leading mobile operator in Thailand, has launched a unique service to its prepaid customers which enables them to take control of their mobile accounts. The service, YOU! Mobile, is powered by Veris™ Billing real-time convergent charging and billing from AsiaInfo – a leading telecommunications software and services company.

Integrated into the AIS network, Veris Billing empowers YOU! Mobile’s users, giving them a high level of control over their prepaid services. YOU! Mobile enables the user to mix and match voice and data resources according to individual needs, providing the ability to transform users’ remaining/spare voice minutes into available data for usage, and vice versa, in real time.

Veris Billing has been successfully integrated into the networks of many operators worldwide. It supports both proprietary and standards-based integration points out-of-the-box, and provides a standard set of web services to enable existing legacy systems to integrate to it with minimal effort. The Real-time Self-Service applications took AIS and AsiaInfo three months to implement on top of Veris Billing, with AIS implementing the mobile applications and AsiaInfo configuring the back-end engine and APIs.
