EXi Telecoms appoints founder and former CEO of OnCue Telecommunications Mark Ballett as chief executive officer

WARRINGTON, U.K. -- EXi telecoms, leading, independent provider of telecom services to telecom organisations world-wide has announced the appointment of Mark Ballett as Chief Executive Officer. Mark has over 25 years experience in business, the last 15 of these within the telecommunications industry. Mark's career to date has included Mercury Communications, where he was Supply Director, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of OnCue Telecommunications Ltd., Managing Director of Norweb Telecom, during its period of growth from small, regional to national operator, and Board Director of Storm Telecommunications Ltd. Mark Ballett, CEO of EXi telecoms; "I'm delighted to have joined a company with so much potential, at a time when the industry is still struggling to recover from the severe downturn of the last few years. EXi telecoms has an excellent track record of 2G and more recently, 3G mobile network deployment in more than 40 countries. It manages projects from the factory gate through to commissioning and network integrationhas tremendous experience of this. It has also carried out 21 service outsourcing projects in 17 countries. This puts us in a very strong position as more and more operators consider similar changes to their business.
