TEL AVIV -- RAD Data Communications has introduced theIPVgate-30, a VoIP gateway that serves as an IP-PBX for small andmedium-sized businesses. The IPVgate-30 uniquely enables service providersto deliver VoIP telephony and SIP trunking services economically overADSL2+, Ethernet or fiber broadband connectivity.

Fully interoperable with standard SIP equipment, the IPVgate-30 allowsservice providers and wholesellers to expand their portfolios by providinga complete communications solution that frees customers from having toinstall and maintain their own private PBXs. The device performs least costrouting, a particularly attractive feature for providing flexible servicepackages. In addition, the IPVgate-30 features two built-in ports fordirect connection of analog devices such as fax and POS (Point of Sale)terminal, and, as an option, integrated WiFi.

"The IPVgate-30 allows the customer to either manage the device as astandalone PBX or contract with the service provider for management to beprovided from a central location," explains Ido Miran, VoIP Product LineManager at RAD Data Communications. "Unlike hosted IP-PBX or IP Centrexsolutions, however, which are fully dependent on connectivity to theprovider's central office, the IPVgate-30 enables voice mail and allinternal voice services to continue to function normally in the event thatconnectivity with the service provider is interrupted."
