MERA Systems to showcase comprehensive VOIP product portfolio at CommunicAsia 2008

TORONTO -- MERA Systems, industry-leading developer of tandem softswitches and session border controllers for VoIP, proudly presents a family of best-in-class VoIP softswitches at a global trade show in Singapore. The company’s suite of solutions at CommunicAsia 2008 includes MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch II (MVTS II), MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch Pro (MVTS Pro) and MERA IP Centrex.

CommunicaAsia is the most established event for the infocom industry. Visitors to CommunicAsia will not only get to see leading-edge enabling technologies and business solutions designed to enhance enterprises’ mobility and users’ lifestyle, but they will also get to meet with representatives from telcos and mobile operators, internet service providers, enterprises, system integrators. The award-winning MVTS II is a next-generation switching platform targeted towards carriers running 3+ million minutes of VoIP calls per month. This MERA’s best-selling product has been recently enhanced with flexible routing and billing capabilities. Thanks to the newly added NAT traversal function MVTS II ensures end-to-end connectivity to corporate and private user terminal equipment sitting behind NAT routers.

Another exhibit of the MERA collection is the just-released MVTS Pro. The solution is a class 4 softswitch with session border controller functionality. MVTS Pro is a high performance system designed to handle up to 500 CPS.

MERA Systems has also developed a full-featured class 5 softswitch MERA IP Centrex which allows VoIP providers to offer hosted PBX services over IP. MERA IP Centrex delivers 20+ value added services and allows carriers to implement various deployment scenarios.
