LONDON -- Vanco, the pioneering global Virtual Network Operator, today announced that Diarmid Massey has been appointed as new CEO Vanco Asia-Pacific. He will be responsible for all of Vanco’s Asia-Pacific markets.

Diarmid will be based in Tokyo, and will work with the established Asia-Pacific teams to further increase sales and operational support both in Japan, and throughout the whole region. Both, the Singapore general manager, Hong Meng Lee, and Grant Ellison, general manager Australia will report to Diarmid.

Originally from the UK, Diarmid has been based in a number of countries within the Asia Pacific region over the past 20 years. His recent senior management roles included NexTone, a specialist VoIP solutions provider, and wholesale carrier ITXC, which was acquired by India's leading telecom provider, VSNL.

“Diarmid brings an enormous amount of experience to Vanco’s business within the Asia-Pacific marketplace, and an extensive set of contacts,” said Allen Timpany, founder and CEO Vanco. “Given the fantastic growth of Vanco in the region – with the number of locations delivered in Asia-Pacific doubling over the last 12 months – this is a very important time to increase our focus on it.”
