Guadalupe Valley Telecommunications Cooperative selects General Bandwidth to deliver VOIP services

AUSTIN, Texas -- General Bandwidth, a leading Voice overIP equipment manufacturer enabling rapid deployment and new servicerevenue generation over broadband networks, has been selected byGuadalupe Valley Telecommunications Cooperative (GVTC), Texas' largesttelecommunication cooperative, to deliver cable telephony services overGuadalupe Valley's hybrid fiber coax (HFC) network.

With more than 45,000 access lines in 11 counties in Central Texas, GVTChas established itself as a major integrated communications provider inone of the fastest growing regions of Central Texas. Currently GVTCserves more than 7,000 customers over its HFC network. In July 2005,they deployed the General Bandwidth G6 Universal Media Gateway as theylaunched Digital Choice Unlimited phone service to customers in Boerne,Texas.
