NEW YORK -- tel(x), the premier operator of interconnection facilities in the United States announces a new addition to the management team: Christopher Downie as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Downie brings over fifteen years working in finance and telecommunications; where most recently he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Principal Executive Officer at Motient Corporation, a public company developing broadband wireless communications solutions for enterprise customers..
Having recently expanded from 2 to 13 sites in the US, tel(x) has rapidly become one of the largest privately-owned operators of interconnection facilities in North America. Downie’s experience overseeing large-scale financial and operational initiatives will prove relevant as tel(x) continues to expand several of its existing facilities over the coming months and plan for new growth opportunities domestically and abroad.
