ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Spirent Communications(TM) (NYSE:SPM - News; LSE:SPT - News) has received the Frost & Sullivan 2004 Customer Value Enhancement Award for the Communications Test & Measurement Industry.

Frost & Sullivan presented the award to Spirent in recognition of its customer centric approach in developing next-generation test solutions and services that translate into significant savings for its customers. In addition, Spirent was recognized for its ability to assist clients throughout the product lifecycle, turning itself into a total solution provider.

"The key trend of the communications industry is the convergence of voice, data, and video traffic on networks -- both wireless and wireline," said Jessy Cavazos, industry analyst and sector leader for the Communications Test group at Frost & Sullivan. "Spirent's focus on providing test solutions for markets such as VoIP, Gigabit Ethernet, 3G wireless, broadband DSL, web applications, and security testing is critical in this regard. Spirent possesses a distinct advantage over its competitors as its focus has always been testing next-generation technologies both in the lab and the live network."

Frost & Sullivan also noted Spirent's operating profit of $64.5 million in 2003, despite the weak market conditions.

"Our focus is on helping customers migrate to next-generation network technologies," said My Chung, president of Spirent Communications. "The Frost & Sullivan award is an important validation of our ability and success in providing customers with state-of-the-art test solutions across all communication technologies."
