Siemens and Juniper have completed the upgrade T-Com's deployed Juniper Networks E-Series Broadband Service Routers

SUNNYVALE, Calif., and MUNICH -- Siemens Communications and Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR - News) today announced that the two companies have completed the upgrade of Junipers Networks E-Series Broadband Service Routers as part of the DSL-based broadband access network operated by T-Com, the fixed-network unit of Deutsche Telekom AG, to prepare the network for future requirements.
Siemens implemented an intelligent logistics and modification process that ensured that the upgrade was completed on-time and without disrupting network operations, by working in close cooperation with T-Com and Juniper Networks, Siemens AG's global partner for IP networks and routers.
The Juniper Networks E-series routing platforms provide industry leading scalability, reliability and service flexibility, enabling T-Com to implement the E-series as the basis for providing new, innovative services. The capacity and scalability of the E-series enables the concurrent access to very large numbers of customers, which results in a highly efficient and cost-effective utilization of T-Com's network.
