Telefonica Empresas deploys nationwide multiservice network in Brazil based on Nortel Networks, Juniper Networks technology

SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Telefonica Empresas is starting to offer multimedia services for corporate customers throughout Brazil, beyond Sao Paulo, with a nationwide multiservice and IP/MPLS network deployed by Nortel Networks (NYSE/TSX:NT), featuring Nortel Networks Passport Multiservice Switches and Juniper Networks (NASDAQ:JNPR) M20 routing platforms. With this nationwide multiservice network, Telefonica Empresas is able to provide a range of voice, data, IP (Internet Protocol) and MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) services, including IP VPN (Virtual Private Network), Internet access and remote access to corporate intranets.
