TORONTO -- MERA Networks, Inc., a key supplier of carrier-grade solutions for reliable and revenue-generating IP communications, today announced the launch of its new MERA Accredited partnership program targeted at operators that deploy the MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch in their networks. The program is designed to support MERA Accredited partners by officially recognizing their commitment to quality, which they demonstrate through the use of licensed software products backed up by vendor's technical support.

Carriers with the MERA Accredited status receive an official certificate to confirm that they are using an authorized copy of the MVTS session controller and receive complete developer’s support. In today’s heated competition between service providers, both end-users and carriers are looking for reliable partners, which demonstrate transparent and fair business practices. Official recognition and support from a vendor is of critical importance for carriers, as it gives them a measure of confidence, with which they can choose their peering partners.

Apart from this ‘intangible asset’, MERA Accredited partners receive a number of material benefits. Every partner gets a dedicated page on MERA’s website with a link to the company’s URL, to contribute to the partner’s promotion and marketing effort. On the technical side, the accredited partner is provided a free month of technical support and proprietary access to online updates of documentation and software. Upon agreement, MERA is willing to engage in joint marketing initiatives with its Accredited Partners and provide them with training tailored to their particular needs. Taken together, these benefits form a unique, customer-oriented approach, where carriers are treated not like mere clients, but are indeed valued partners.

LANCK Telecom, an international provider of superior telecom services and products, became the first ever MERA Accredited partner. “We joined the MERA Accredited program as soon as we learned about it,” comments Sergei Alexeyev, IT Director, LANCK Telecom. “An essential part of LANCK’s success as a carrier lies in our ability to closely cooperate with the vendors whose equipment we deploy in our network. With the MERA Accredited status, we can work directly with MERA’s developer team to ensure that the product has all the features and functionality required by today’s telecom market. Furthermore, contact with MERA’s marketing division gives us a perfect chance to associate with one of the top vendors in the industry.”

“Our credo is to contribute to the creation of a healthy and transparent communications ecosystem,” says Natalya Korobkova, Marketing Director, MERA Networks, Inc. “As part of this project, we are building cooperation with vendors and large wholesalers, which helps us increase interoperability of multivendor equipment and networks. The MERA Accredited program is a logical next step in this process, designed to promote transparent business practices and grow a healthy and comfortable VoIP community. The MERA Accredited logo posted on a carrier’s website is a clear sign to its peering partners that the carrier employs a licensed copy of the MVTS session controller and can guarantee dependable operation backed up by prompt and professional support from MERA Networks. Immediately after we launched the MERA Accredited program, we received dozens of application letters, which means that we have addressed an important issue. Currently we are processing applications from Equant (Russia), IVY Solutions (Spain), Edge Telecom (Germany), Green Circle Telecom, Inc. (USA) and many other service providers from all over the world. The program is off to a good start.”
