Lambda-Net-Data-Link, a European-wide flexible bandwidth service; LambdaNet has selected Juniper to build out a pan-European network

HANOVER, Germany -- LambdaNet Communications, European high-speed telecommunications network carrier, announces the launch of l-Net-Data-Link, the first European-wide flexible bandwidth service fully based on MPLS. Supported by LambdaNet’s IP/MPLS network, this service is available in France and Germany and later on in all 62 cities in Europe and offers the full capacity range between 2Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s through ATM, Ethernet and Frame Relay interfaces.This new end-to-end connection service will enable telecommunications carriers, ISPs (Internet Service Providers), ASPs (Application Service Providers) and content providers to benefit from flexible bandwidth, with 1Mbit/s increments and quick upgrade lead time plus volume-based billing options. Thanks to this flexibility, LambdaNet’s customers will only pay for the bandwidth they need and use and will make savings of over 50% in comparison with traditional solutions. In a separate release:LambdaNet Communications, European high-speed telecommunications network carrier, has selected Juniper Networks (Nasdaq:JNPR), leading provider of next-generation Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure systems, to build out an advanced pan-European network.This new network service offering leverages Juniper Networks M-series Internet routers to rapidly provision IP innovative services such as Virtual Private Networks (VPN) to the satisfaction of LambdaNet’s multiple customers: telecommunications carriers, ISPs (Internet Service Providers), ASPs (Application Service Providers), web hosters and content providers.
