Ixia Upgrades Enterprise Traffic Emulator

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), a leading, global provider of IP network testing solutions, announced today that version 5.1 of IxChariot®, the industry standard for enterprise application traffic emulation, has been released to customers worldwide.

IxChariot 5.1 uniquely leverages the wide range of high-performance Ixia hardware test modules to generate Voice over IP (VoIP) streams emulating tens of thousands of bi-directional calls. This new release also includes a set of Denial of Service (DoS) and Internet Relay Chat (IRC) scripts to measure the impact of these technologies on mission-critical VoIP, streaming media, and other enterprise application traffic.
