SAN JOSE, Calif. & DUBLIN -- IP Infusion and Silicon & Software Systems (S3) announced today that they will participate in a demonstration of an MPLS-VPN enabled network at Networld+Interop in Las Vegas on May 7 through 9; also joining in the demonstration will be IBM. The companies' booths will be interconnected via a private network. Real-time video will be sent across this network using VPNs defined by label-switched paths over MPLS. As the prevalence of MPLS-enabled networks continues to expand, vendors will look to reduce development time for new and follow-on products that implement MPLS. The network processing industry promises to deliver this time-to-market advantage by providing proven hardware, software, and reference designs. "This demonstration clearly delivers on the promise of network processing. It is now possible to create networks with advanced features like MPLS using standard off-the-shelf products from a variety of vendors," stated Chuck Sannipoli, Vice President and General Manager of the Network Processing Group at IP Infusion. Visit IP Infusion (booth #3413), Silicon and Software Systems (booth #3431) or IBM (booth #3315) while at Networld+Interop to view the MPLS-VPN network demonstration. IP Infusion Inc.
