LONDON -- Reliance Globalcom today announced the appointment of Mark Thompson as President of its Data Business unit, responsible for all data communications solutions within the global communications group. The Reliance Globalcom Data Business brings together its subsidiaries Reliance Globalcom Limited (formerly known as FLAG Telecom), Reliance Globalcom Services Inc. (formerly known as Yipes Enterprises) and Reliance Vanco Group (formerly known as Vanco Group) to create a global managed solutions provider, with leading on- and off-net data networking capabilities and related services, offering solutions to enterprises, systems integrators, and carriers around the globe.

By combining the three entities under a single business unit, Reliance Globalcom is able to deliver customer-focused managed network and application delivery solutions that leverage a global network with unrivalled reach, depth and breadth.
