LAS VEGAS -- Ellacoya Networks, Inc. today, at ASPCON Fall 2000 at the Sands Convention Center, unveiled the first working prototype of a Service Agency business model, which promotes an environment in which customers are connected with network, content and application partners to experience limitless new service options. The prototype demonstrates how the recently announced Ellacoya Networks Service Generation System, together with partner applications (see separate press release today -- Ellacoya Networks Announces the APPRISE Program), enables a carrier or service provider to substantially increase revenues by offering a variety of best-in-class applications to its end user customers on a highly individualized basis.

“Owning customer identity (personalization) whether for consumer or enterprise customers is key to service provider profitability and gaining customer loyalty. The Service Agency model provides a solid basis from which service providers can build the corporate and consumer product/service packages that are critical in developing and maintaining customer identity in the electronic economy,” said Deb Mielke, president of Treillage Network Strategies. “The Ellacoya Networks Service Generation System is the best existing example of the software and hardware platforms that are essential to building the Service Agency.”
