Dynarc Intros Optical IP Services Router

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - June 6, 2000 - Dynarc, a provider of next-generation optical IP solutions, today unveiled the industry's first auto-provisioning router for dynamic optical networks. The Dynarc 5116 offers intelligent management and automatic provisioning of bandwidth and advanced IP services-on-demand. Dynarc enables carriers and service providers to handle user demands by easily managing and supporting new services, more resources and additional users on an IP network.

The advanced features of the Dynarc 5116 is leveraged by Dynarc's Channelized Reserved Services (CRS) architecture, which is powered by Dynamic synchronous Transfer Mode (DTM) technology. This new architecture provides a robust platform to build and extend dynamic optical networks. The new architecture will support a growing list of next-generation IP-based applications such as e-commerce, broadcast quality video, and video conferencing-on-demand.
