MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Granite Systems, Inc., a communications software provider of Service Resource Management (SRM) solutions, today announced that Hrvatski Telekom, is installing the Xng Suite (Xpercom® Next Generation) at the heart of its OSS solution to manage the network resources required for its core services. Hrvatski Telekom needed one management system to support all of its existing service resources on its fixed network, including its major service types and network resources. These services will include standard telephone POTS, ISDN, ADSL, leased-line, ATM, X.25, frame relay and wholesale services. The Xng System will hold information on the core network transmission and access network equipment necessary for the provisioning and tracking of services.Ivan Sedinic, CIO at Hrvatski Telekom explains, "Our Xpercom solution will be connected to all of our other OSS solutions using Granite's Vitria Adapter. This will give us the ability to interchange information with our Siebel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, SAP and ESRI Geographical Information Systems (GIS). This bus-based architecture gives us a future-proofed solution for quickly providing data to all interested connected systems."Installation of Xng is already underway and will be ongoing. Hrvatski Telekom has extensive plans to place Xng at the core of its future OSS architecture. The organization will have close integration between the Xng system and its workflow and workforce management system, as well as with other network management systems and planned strategic and short-term network planning and optimization tools.Granite Systems Inc.
