SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Cisco Systems(R) (Nasdaq:CSCO) today announced the availability of its Learning Game Trilogy, a combination of three online technology games: Rockin' Retailer, Network Defenders and SAN Rover. As part of the Cisco Career Certifications Program, these free games are offered as a challenge to individuals who are interested in learning while engaging in competitive game play.

The Games Trilogy is comprised of three unique offerings covering IP Communications, Security and Storage Networking. Rockin' Retailer enables users to learn the benefits of IP Communication solutions while addressing issues with communication, inventory and customer service. Network Defenders tests networking knowledge and allows users to learn how to defend against relentless security attacks. With SAN Rover, players traverse Mars in a Rover building a Storage Area Network (SAN). High scores for all games are recorded and displayed for other gamers.

"Learning games offer us an opportunity to present content in ways that might be more engaging and memorable for our audience," said Don Field, director of certifications at Cisco. "The games offer an insight into the relevance of Cisco technologies in settings as varied as a research station on Mars to a small music store."
