Juniper Networks, in partnership with Ericsson, delivers advanced IP services capabilities for China Mobile

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR), a leading provider of profitable infrastructures for the New Public Network, today announced, with the addition of four provincial Chinese mobile operators, all subsidiaries of China Mobile Communications Corp. (China Mobile), its M-series Internet routers deliver core, mobile and edge IP services on the Chinese Mobile-IP Network. Juniper Networks is working in partnership with Ericsson to make up 80 percent of the entire China Mobile IP Network.The new network infrastructure includes additional Juniper Networks M160, M40 and M20 Internet routers and provides the foundation for China Mobile's subsidiaries to offer subscriber access to Mobile Internet applications and 3G networking. The networks are initially delivering general packet radio service (GPRS) mobile services as well as a variety of data, voice and multimedia applications.In all of the contracts with China Mobile, Juniper Networks worldwide distribution partner Ericsson is responsible for the supply and integration of the IP-infrastructure solutions.
