LAS VEGAS -- NetWorld+Interop -- Captus Networks today announced important enhancements to its CaptIO-G(TM) network security device that make it the first security solution capable of stopping Denial of Service (DoS) attacks against high-volume Internet networks. In a design implementing high-bandwidth bus architecture, the newest CaptIO-G model achieves the multi-Gigabit throughput necessary to protect the high-speed distribution switches and routers in service provider and enterprise networks.

Captus Networks, the world leader in protecting against Denial of Service attacks, today announced a major software enhancement to its CaptIO(TM) family of network security solutions that greatly simplifies the task of systems administrators for ensuring the security and availability of their Internet networks. With Captus' new Traffic Limiting Intrusion Detection System (TLIDS(TM)), CaptIO devices now have a "fine grain" capability for distinguishing between legitimate high-volume network traffic and malicious DoS attacks that attempt to overwhelm network servers and other points of exposure with a flood of bogus network packets.

In a separate release:

Captus Networks, the world leader in protecting against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, today announced the CaptCC Global Administrator, a secure, Web-based management solution for managing multiple CaptIO(TM) Network Security Devices. The CaptCC device builds on the strengths of Captus' Traffic Restriction and Profiling (TRaP) Technology(TM) for mitigating Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed DoS (DDoS) attacks by centralizing all management, administration, configuration, and monitoring activities. The CaptCC solution enables new services, insures the highest reliability and assures lower operating costs for service providers and large enterprise data centers.

In a separate release:

Captus Networks, the world leader in protecting against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, today announced a High Availability feature to enable continued uptime of the company's family of CaptIO(TM) network security devices in the event of the failure of a device or connectivity to a network. The new CaptIO High Availability module uses a redundant architecture of paired CaptIO devices to provide automatic failover to a second, standby CaptIO device if the primary device becomes unavailable. With this capability, the CaptIO family can support the high network availability requirements of data centers and network service providers.
