BRACKNELL, U.K. -- Keltec, a top UK technology integrator, today announced it has entered into an outsourced customer account management contract with BT.

As part of the Managed Accounts Through Partners (MATP) programme, Keltec will assume responsibility for the day-to-day running and management of 1600 small- to medium-sized enterprise (SME) BT accounts. The vast majority of these accounts, around 90 percent, are traditional calls and lines business while the remainder are customers of BT’s mobility and ICT (information and communications technology) services.

“We are delighted to be working with BT to support their SME customer base,” said Kendal Stacey, telecoms sales manager for Keltec. “Our objectives are to provide the best possible service to business customers with traditional voice-based services and to expand aggressively the number of SME accounts using BT’s mobility and ICT solutions.”

“Keltec joins our managed accounts partner programme with the specific aim of providing a more efficient, more personal service for our SME customer base,” said Jon Lane, director, BT Indirect Channels.

“We wanted a partner capable of sustaining our current call and line business through exceptional service,” continued Jon Lane. “Keltec is also one of BT’s independent IT services partners. We hope they can combine the two roles and grow our SME business through additional service offerings such as information security solutions that can be sold with BT line, switch and wireless packages.”
