CHELMSFORD, Mass. -- Brix Networks (www.brixnet.com), the leading provider of the most widely deployed converged service assurance solutions, today announced it has expanded its sales teams that serve the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets.

At the same time, the growing company also announced it has boosted its North American sales coverage in response to increased demand for its award-winning solutions and services from carriers, cable companies, managed service providers, and large enterprises.

"This recent expansion of our global sales organization represents the most significant increase in sales hires in the company's history," said Charles Giambalvo, vice president, worldwide sales and services, at Brix Networks. "We continue to experience strong interest in our products across all our target markets around the world as network operators realize that service quality matters when it comes to offering next-generation VoIP, IPTV, and data services to their users."

Ihsen Fekih, based in London, and Beat Poltera, located in Shanghai, have joined the existing Brix international sales team as sales directors in the EMEA and APAC regions, respectively. Fekih has overall responsibility for managing the sales activities for Brix in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, along with several named accounts in the United Kingdom. Poltera's areas of focus include China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

"The international marketplace is experiencing rapid adoption of triple-play bundled services and IMS-based applications, such as fixed-mobile convergence and VoIP roaming," noted Giambalvo. "These services require an operationally scalable service assurance solution, like the Brix System, that not only addresses immediate deployment issues, but is also 'future-proof,' due to its open architecture and ease-of-integration with other systems."
