Equinix Opens Dallas 'IBX' Center

A place where content providers, ASPs, and e-businesses can connect with carriers, ISPs, and management companies

DALLAS -- Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), creator and operator of neutral Internet Business Exchange(TM) (IBX(TM)) centers, today announced the grand opening of its 55,000 square foot IBX(TM) center in the Dallas, Texas metropolitan area. Initial participants in the center include InterNAP Network Services Corporation (Nasdaq: INAP), Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT), NorthPoint Communications (Nasdaq: NPNT), Qwest Communications International (NYSE: Q), and WorldCom Inc.

Equinix's uniquely neutral IBX(TM) centers are the only places where Internet content providers, e-commerce companies and Application Service Providers (ASPs) can choose from the widest variety of best-in-class ISPs and web site and performance management companies. Equinix currently operates IBX(TM) centers in the greater New York, Washington, D.C. and Silicon Valley areas.
