Bert Whyte Finds Solace

Solace Systems announced the appointment of telecom industry veteran Bert Whyte as the company's chief operating officer

OTTAWA -- Solace Systems, the leader in value-added services (VAS) routing systems, today announced the appointment of telecom industry veteran Bert Whyte as the company's chief operating officer. Mr. Whyte will be responsible for managing Solace's day-to-day business operations and overseeing the company's international efforts.

With almost 40 years of experience in telecommunications, Mr. Whyte has been president and chief executive officer of influential industry leaders including Network Equipment Technologies Inc. and Advanced Computer Communications which was acquired by Ericsson in 1998. He has also held senior management positions at Newbridge Networks, Mitel Networks, Ericsson and Siemens AG. Having seen the evolution of telecom networks around the world, Mr. Whyte brings a deep knowledge of the telecom industry.
