Danish VCSEL Startup Closes €2.1M Round

COPENHAGEN -- Alight Technologies A/S today announced that the company has closed a second round of financing totaling € 2.1 million (DKK 15.9 million). The investment secures liquidity for the company to bring new optical transmitter solutions to the market place. The investment was led by Innfond, with participation from the existing investors DTU-Innovation and Vækstfonden.

Claus Melgaard, CEO InnFond, states "Alight has proven their strong technology base for next generation optical transmitters. Increased output power and significant cost reduction will drive optical communication closer to end-users in the coming years and Alight is well positioned to become a market leader for optical transmitters."
