Corvil Appoints Sales Supremo

Alan Lowe, Former CEO of Interoute and SVP of BT Global Networks, joins Corvil as global managing director of service provider sales

DUBLIN -- Corvil, a pioneer in integrated Quality, Bandwidth and Traffic (QBT) management on Internet Protocol (IP) networks, today announced the appointment of Alan Lowe as its Global Managing Director of Service Provider Sales. Leading Corvil’s service provider business, Lowe will drive field sales operations and advance Corvil’s strategic position in this key market sector.

Well-known and highly-regarded within the telecommunications industry, Lowe spent over thirty years with British Telecom before leaving in 2000 to join Interoute. As CEO at Interoute, a leading European voice and data network provider, Lowe managed the extensive strategic development of the company’s advanced infrastructure and service offerings. Prior to Interoute, he developed a highly successful career at BT where he held numerous senior management positions, his most recent being that of Senior Vice President of Networks and Technology where he was responsible for all aspects of BT’s global networks including submarine systems, satellites, terrestrial and switching platforms.
