Competitive Telecommunications Association and the United Telecom Council team up to foster growth in telecommunications and utilities

WASHINGTON -- The Competitive Telecommunications Association (CompTel) and the United Telecom Council (UTC) have entered into a partnership that will leverage each organization’s strengths to foster growth in the telecommunications and utility industries.“Today telecommunications and utility companies are faced with many of the same business, regulatory and legislative challenges. By working together under this historic agreement, CompTel and UTC believe that they can bring greater benefits to their respective members and ensure that competition thrives in the marketplace,” said H. Russell Frisby, Jr., president of CompTel.Under the terms of the agreement, CompTel and UTC will provide opportunities to promote each other’s constituencies via web sites and other portals, and offer members of each organization reduced rates to attend both organizations’ conferences and trade shows. CompTel and UTC also will participate in each other’s trade shows, and will jointly market various products, services and events.
