BONN, Germany -- With the introduction of VideoMeet, Deutsche Telekom makes videoconferencing accessible to everyone irrespective of time, place, and type of device or video service. The cloud-based multi-party videoconferencing service is the first solution globally that connects practically any videoclient. Deutsche Telekom is marketing the solution throughout Europe, starting today in the UK, Germany and Austria.

"Video is the next voice," says Rainer Deutschmann, Senior Vice President Core Telco Products at Deutsche Telekom. "To support this vision we introduce VideoMeet, the very first service that bridges different end-points. VideoMeet is as easy to set up as an audio conference. It adheres to high security standards, and, as a genuine cloud service, it is simply scalable to the needs of our customers and does not require any investment. VideoMeet perfectly connects, for example, companies with distributed offices, home offices and traveling employees, as well as sales departments with their customers."

In accordance with its "Telco plus" strategy, Deutsche Telekom expands its product portfolio by means of partnering and thus create a faster time to market for innovative services. VideoMeet is being introduced in cooperation with California based start up Blue Jeans Network. Telekom and Blue Jeans Network have a partnership since June 2011.
