RA'ANANA, Israel -- TraceSpanTM Communications, a provider of broadband monitoring solutions, announced today that British Telecom and France Telecom have purchased the DSL XpertTM multi-layer analyzer. Leveraging patent-pending technology, DSL XpertTM breaks new ground as the industry’s first non-intrusive performance-analysis solution for ADSL and ADSL2 products. The two respected network operators are deploying DSL XpertTM in their laboratories for interoperability testing and evaluation of ADSL/ADSL2 equipment provided by manufacturers of central-office (CO) systems (e.g. DSLAMs) and customer premises equipment (CPE).

DSL XpertTM enables British Telecom and France Telecom lab personnel to quickly and easily verify standards compliance, interoperability and performance of ADSL and ADSL2 solutions. DSL XpertTM pinpoints the exact location of problems between CO modems and CPE, and supports improved decision-making in the capital equipment purchasing process.

“We are very gratified to receive this important market validation from British Telecom and France Telecom, two of the world’s leading network operators,” said Dr. Hanan Herzberg, TraceSpan founder and CEO. “We look forward to assisting BT and FT with their interoperability testing of current and next-generation ADSL equipment – both now and in the future.”

DSL XpertTM is a powerful analysis solution for service providers (telcos and CLECS), current and next-generation ADSL equipment (e.g. DSLAM, DLC, modem, router/gateway) manufacturers, and technology and chipset developers. DSL XpertTM accelerates time to market and return on investment by cutting significant time from the development, deployment, debugging, support and interoperability verification of ADSL equipment.
