GCI Picks Verimatrix

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Verimatrix, setting the standard in content security technologies that enhance the value of pay-TV networks, and CSI Digital today announced Gorham Communications Inc (GCI) has selected D-Video!™ for its end-to-end IPTV solution. CSI Digital’s D-Video! has been integrated with the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS®) for IPTV to provide GCI a studio- and broadcaster-approved IPTV video package solution.

D-Video! is an IPTV wholesale video package that enables network operators a simple, quick and cost-effective method of upgrading their existing video plant and/or realizing a rapid, more effective way to enter new markets. CSI Digital leverages a worldwide satellite infrastructure, content, hardware and software licensing relationships to provide wholesale video. Verimatrix’s VCAS for IPTV 2.3 is the only content security solution that features end-to-end encryption specifically for this emerging IPTV business model. It can support any combination of centralized or distributed subscriber management, including mixes of middleware systems and set-top boxes (STB) to meet specific local needs of its IPTV retailer community.
