PETACH TIKVA, Israel -- ECI Telecom Ltd. (NASDAQ: ECIL) announced today the expansion of its Hi-FOCuS™ family to include next-generation voice capabilities utilizing a single broadband platform. Using ECI's solution, carriers can now provide direct TDM services via the broadband network. The Hi-FOCuS Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) family offers carriers a cost-effective transition to VoIP and Voice over Broadband (VoB) by leveraging existing infrastructure to provide advanced voice services.

ECI's Hi-FOCuS BLC broadband voice solutions are designed to provide high quality voice communications with increased convenience and flexibility, while reducing OPEX. Optimized to deliver voice over packet networks, Hi-FOCuS BLC enables carriers to deliver a wide range of voice services like POTS and ISDN telephony, leased lines, class services support and more.

ECI's unique Hi-FOCuS Multi-Service Access Gateway (MSAG) architecture drives improved, innovative convergence over access networks. With a simple upgrade to the existing Hi-FOCuS MSAG, customers experience the benefits of built-in voice over broadband capabilities.

ECI's HI-FOCuS BLC will be presented this week at the "21st Century Communications World Forum" in London, where visitors can experience Triple-Play applications in real time over ECI's Hi-FOCuS Broadband solutions.

"As carriers migrate to solutions comprising voice over broadband, products such as ECI's BLC platform provide them with a solid argument and business case," said Michael Howard, Principal Analyst and Co-Founder of Infonetics Research. "The Hi-FOCuS BLC can help carriers leverage their current investment in DSL while giving them a path into their next-generation broadband access network. The Hi-FOCuS BLC is part of the worldwide BLC market, which is accelerating fast from about $140M in 2004 to over $1.4B in 2007, as this new generation of BLCs displaces the current generation of NG DLCs."
