The Corning Cable Systems Platinum Performance System – including cable assemblies, preconnectorized housings and coupler modules – enables customers to optimize their network today and meet the performance requirements of tomorrow’s applications. The low-loss system reduces transmission costs and extends the optical reach of the network.

The Platinum Performance System features connectors that have a typical insertion loss of 0.05 dB. These products showcase Corning Cable Systems’ leadership in high-precision passive optical assembly and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, providing a connector-based solution with fusion-splice loss performance. Furthermore, the system delivers superior performance in Corning Cable Systems’ high-quality fiber management hardware lines already used in today’s networks.

The connectors, cable assemblies and couplers featured in the Platinum Performance System are designed and tested to meet industry standards. With the superior optical performance of these products, Corning Cable Systems offers the flexibility to transmit optical signals further or add additional components into the network without increasing network costs.

According to the National Cable Association’s Office of Cable Signal Theft, the CATV industry loses more than $6.5 billion per year from cable signal theft. The plastic High-Security Pedestal is an effective and easy-to-install product that can immediately deter theft and increase revenue generation.

Corning Cable Systems’ pedestals are molded from modified linear low-density polyethylene, designed to resist impact, ultraviolet and environmental degradation. In addition to this molding, the High-Security Pedestal includes a ground retention system, a lock protector plate and heavy-gauge mounting reinforcement plates, all of which can deter cable signal theft.
