HICKORY, N.C. -- Corning Cable Systems, part of Corning Incorporated’s telecommunications segment, announces Team Fishel as the first member of the exclusive Corning Total Access ProgramSM (TAP).

Corning’s TAP provides highly qualified broadband specialists such as Team Fishel with the tools necessary to ensure successful fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments. Certified TAP members receive all-inclusive access to Corning’s innovative and reliable FTTH solution. After completing specialized training in the design and installation of optical access networks, TAP members are able to offer their customers up to a 10-year extended product warranty on complete Corning FTTH solutions (drop cables and assemblies carry a 3-year warranty). For almost 70 years, Team Fishel has been one of America’s foremost utility contractors, installing telephone, gas, electric and cable TV networks nationwide. Today, Team Fishel installs these utilities all at the same time, including connections for voice, video and data early in construction.

“We are very excited to become the first communications contractor in Corning’s Total Access Program,” said John Phillips, president and CEO of Team Fishel. “With Corning’s support, we can add value for the service provider and residential developer by bringing complete end-to-end FTTH solutions for the communities we connect.”

“Together, Corning and Team Fishel can provide developers with the technical engineering, construction and installation resources to fast-track a new fiber-to-the-home community and help increase the value of their planned community,” said Rick Keeler, director of market development for Team Fishel.
