LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Procera® Networks, Inc. (PRNW.OB), a pioneering developer of intelligent network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, announced that Sweden-based Com Hem will implement Procera’s PacketLogic PL7600i to equip the Triple Play network operated by Com Hem’s subsidiary UPC. The implementation is managed and executed by long-time Gold partner Cygate AB.

Com Hem’s acquisition of UPC Sweden was completed in June 2006 and gives Com Hem a total of 1.7 million connected households, equal to one third of all Swedish households. The current implementation phase of PacketLogic will include the deployment of 16 PL7600i appliances, which will upgrade former UPC’s network to deliver high-quality Triple Play services on a par with Com Hem.

Com Hem implemented PacketLogic in 2004 to manage hazardous traffic, viruses and attacks, and to manage broadband offerings. The installation is fully integrated with Com Hem’s user provisioning and network management.

“PacketLogic provides granular control of our network traffic,” said Martin Kull, CTO of Com Hem. “Traffic control is a requirement for next-generation Triple Play networks, and PacketLogic has become a key component in our platform.”
